Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Image to be used to clarify the concept of areal velocity by the example of uniform circular motion. Here, the area A equals ½ r2 φ = ½ r2 ωt = ½ rvt. Hence, the areal velocity dA/dt equals ½ rv. For uniform circular motion, both r and v are constants of motion; therefore, the areal velocity is also constant.

In principle, this change allows this image to be used in general discussions of the specific angular momentum ''h''.
