These pains usually came onafter prolonged exertion such as wash-ing or similar work, and were often ofthe nature of colic. After these at-tacks small amounts of blood and puswoud appear in the urine. Tuberculosis of the right kidney wasthe clinical diagnosis, and an x-ray ofthe genito-urinary tract was requested.X-ray examination revealed two smallround shadows in the pelvis, one 3 cm.to the left of the median line and theether 4 cm. to the right of the medianline and both 7 cm. above the sym-physs. These remained in the sameposition following catharsis and a diag-nosis of calculi in the lower ureters onboth sides was m.iHr arthritis disturbance. C.\SE REPORTS the fimbriated ends ot both tubes wereinvolved so that the lumen was closedin each. The calculi described in thex-ray were found, one m each fallopiantube, and removed. The right ureterwas found to be about the size of anadults middle finger, tortuous and tu- berculous. The right kidney was nottuberculous. It appears that all of the symptomsorigmated m the tuberculous rightureter and that the calculi found inthe tube were not the cause of anypain. Bone Regeneration—A Graphic Story L. J. CARTER, M. D.
