Description
Français : Archer portant la selle de son cheval ; page du même album que MAO 1201 - Iran, - fin du 16e - début du 17e siècle- Encre, pigments et or sur papier - Louvre - MAO 1198 Verso. Le cartel indique : Cette figure masculine renvoie à un sujet répandu dans la peinture d’album : un cavalier se retourne vers un cheval émacié qu’il tire avec une bride ; la bête chétive est trop faible pour supporter sa selle et l’homme la prend sur son dos. Du sujet initial, seul le cavalier muni de son arc et de ses flèches, de son sabre et de la selle de son cheval a été conservé ici.
