This was the parsonage of the Old Stone church in precolonial times, later the sugar house which the British converted into a prison during the revolutionary war. The bank building (built 1799) has two markers on the cornerstone, one by the DAR for the middle dutch church and one for the landmarked sidewalk clock of 1900's vintage.
