13 ARTISTES, 8 ŒUVRES DANS LE QUARTIER DES SPECTACLES


Montréal, 23 septembre 2015 – Espace Commun ? est un parcours de 8 œuvres inédites dans divers lieux du Quartier des spectacles de Montréal, présenté du 1er au 18 octobre 2015. Résultat d’un processus créatif ayant pour thématique l’être humain au cœur des technologies, le projet réunit les talents de 13 artistes en provenance de 7 pays. Parmi eux, Michel de Broin (Canada) présente Molysmocène, en projection sur la façade du théâtre Maisonneuve, Sam Meech (Royaume-Uni) propose le trio d’œuvres On est tous un groupe d’ami(e)s ici à la place de la Paix et au Centre de design de l’UQAM, l’artiste Darsha Hewitt (Canada), en collaboration avec Nelly-Ève Rajotte (Canada) prend d’assaut le Goethe-Institut avec son A Side Man 5000 Adventure et Sébastien Pierre et Daniel Canty (Canada) collaborent pour la création du parcours interactif Les îles invisibles, qui invite à redécouvrir le Quartier des spectacles, à partir de la station de métro Saint-Laurent.


Pour la création d’Espace Commun ?, les 13 artistes participants proposent des œuvres créées en lien avec divers lieux et l’environnement du Quartier des spectacles. À l’aide de la technologie, de vidéoprojections et d’outils d’interactivité, ils proposent de revoir notre perception de cet environnement, qui, au lieu de demeurer un ensemble de structures imposées, devient une entité malléable modifiable par le design et la création.
