Description
English: Ill-defined aqueous mix of hydrated octahedral iron(III) thiocyanate complexes primarily consisting of:
  • [Fe(SCN)3(H2O)3]
  • [Fe(SCN)2(H2O)4]+
  • [Fe(SCN)(H2O)5]2+

Obtained from a test for iron: a reaction between NH4SCN and iron(III) ions in dilute HCl medium.
