Summary

[edit]
Description Sint-Annatunnel Sint Anna Tunnel is a pedestrian and bicycle tunnel under the Scheldt. This 572 meter long tunnel, which is 31.57 meters below the ground, connects the older with the newer Antwerp. Both sides have an elevator for 40 people, and twice two original wooden escalators. These escalators were a real novelty for the time. The two entrance buildings are the work of Emiel Van Averbeke. 1931-33
