Graduation and Degfrees. As a condition of graduation, each student must submit to theFaculty a satisfactory Oration or Essay, which he must be prepared todeliver in public, if required to do so. The Degree of Bachelor. The Degrees of Bachelor of Arts, of Letters, and of Science areconferred on the completion of the corresponding courses. The Degree of Master. Candidates for the Masters Degree are required to pursue acourse of study at Swarthmore, or elsewhere, under the direction ofthe Faculty, and to pass examination in the same. Persons residingat the College and devoting their whole time to the work can accom-plish a sufficient amount in one year; for non-resident candidates,who are at the same time engaged in other work, the course mustoccupy not less than two years. Application should be made directly to the Faculty, and shouldstate the subject or subjects in which the applicants wish to presentthemselves. Work will then be assigned to them by the Faculty.
