The Vertebrae.—On examining the backbone of a fish, you will find it to consist of circular vertebra?, which areconcave at each end. The space between the vertebra? isfilled with a jelly-like substance, giving great freedom ofmotion. The ribs are not much curved, and are attachedto the spinal column at one end. 6tTJorsal
