Description
English: Medieval Belt mount, hollow-cast in the form of an animal-head (bear) with filed details of open mouth, ears, eyes and fur, pierced by rivet with remains of cloth and circular rove on reverse. Cf. similar, head of king and scallop-shaped, mounts from Westbury in Mills in Tattenhoe and Westbury (1995), fig.153, nos.62-3.
