The incision is made 2 1-2 inches long—through all coats of theabdominal wall. Through this incision the index finger of righthand is passed and a search made in the sub-lumbar region for thespermatic cord. This cord is usually easy to locate. Withdrawcord through abdominal incision and the testicle follows natur-ally. Sever cord with the emascnlator (Figure 109) and replaceits stump in abdominal cavity. All that remains to he done is tosuture up abdominal incision. This is done by two through andthrough interrupted sutures. See Figure IK).
