Title
Anglo-Saxon copper alloy sleeve clasp
Description
English: Copper-alloy wrist-clasp of Hines’s Form B12. The clasp would have consisted of a rectangular bar divided into five sections, however only three remain. There are two square undecorated panels with a neatly ribbed section between. The ribs are tightly arranged and form a rectangular panel which is D-shaped in cross-section. There is an incomplete integral loop extending from each square panel, and another loop on the opposide side on the central square. Early Anglo-Saxon, late fifth or sixth century AD.
