Title
Anglo-Saxon brooch
Description
English: Incomplete copper alloy small long brooch. The brooch now consists of two fragments that are probably from the same object. The upper fragment consists of a trefoil headplate with integral circular lugs. One lug is missing. The bow is very worn and looks to be faceted. There is a single lug on the reverse for the pin. The upper fragment is broken at the base of the bow. The lower fragment consists of part of the foot. The fragment is decorated on the front with two sets of three transversely incised lines. There is no catchplate on the reverse of this fragment.
