Angle de la rue Beaubourg et de la rue Chapon, 3ème arrondissement, Paris. Au premier plan sur la droite, un homme marche. Sur la gauche, une femme est arrêtée devant le "CAFE DE LA PAIX". Dans la rue Chapon, nombreuses enseignes, quelques passants et voitures. Sur la droite, un réverbère et au rez-de-chaussée de l'immeuble d'angle, un café : "AUX BARREAUX VERTS". Au-dessus de ce café, une affiche publicitaire : "CUIRS / PEAUX / ET CREPINS / . LOUIS SCOFFONE . / FOUNITURES / GENERALES / POUR CHAUSSURES".
