English: German Army (Wehrmacht Heer) officer's visor cap (Schirmmütze) with cap insignia (Mützenabzeichen):
  • Embroided eagle-and-swastika emblem adopted as national and military coat of arms from the Nazi Party emblem based on the German Reichsadler imperial eagle: called Hoheitszeichen ('national emblem'), Mützenadler ('cap eagle'), Wehrmachtsadler ('eagle of the armed forces') or Heeresadler ('army eagle')
  • National tri-colour cockade with an oak leaf wreath (Mützeneichenlaub, Eichenlaubkranz, Mützenkranz, WH-Kokarde, see "Army 2nd Type" in "Visor Cap Insignia Guide" at germandaggers.com) embroidered on cloth patch
  • Piping (Paspel, Paspelierung, trim) in white corps colour of the German Army (Waffenfarbe des Heeres) indicating 'Infantry'.
  • High front, saddle shaped cap crown.
Exhibit in the Hjemmefrontmuseet Rakkestad, a local WW2 history museum in Rakkestad, Norway.
