Français : André Fiquet est né à Sassetot-Le-Mauconduit (Seine Maritime) le 26 octobre 1877 et a passé son enfance dans la région de Fécamp et du Havre où il a obtenu à 13 ans un 1er prix de cornet à piston au Conservatoire. Certaines de ses oeuvres (Perle Fine, Cumières-Polka) ont été jouées par la Batterie Fanfare de la Garde Républicaine. Il est entré à la SACEM le 11 juin 1913. Il quitta ensuite la Normandie pour le Béarn pour s'installer à Oloron Sainte-Marie où il fit partie de "l'Harmonie Municipale" en qualité de "clairon solo". En 1928, il fonda "l'Union Symphonique Oloronaise" qu'il dirigea. Puis il quitta le Béarn en 1933 pour se retirer au Bouscat (Gironde) où il est décédé le 31 mars 1939.
Le 18 juillet 1976, la ville d'Oloron Sainte Marie a célébré le Centenaire de l'Harmonie Municipale d'Oloron en évoquant le souvenir de ce musicien. |
