Summary

[edit]
Description
English: One of the ancient city gate of old Kano City, legend have it that after Fulani conquest there was a standing rule that if gate is locked it would not be opened even for the king. A Fulani man came back from herding his animals late and found the gates locked. He used his axe to break portion of the wall and enter the city, he was arraigned and brought to the emir and was questioned why would he do that. He answered arrogantly that because I can, so goes the name Ƙofar Na'isa. Literally Ƙofar stands for the gate and Na'isa means "I can"
