He was 88. Dr. Clark was principal of theFlushing High School from 1897 un-til his retirement In 1920. Through-out his long residence in Flushinglie took an active part in civic af-fairs, and a.s chairman of the trans-portation committee of the FlushingUnited Association was instrumentalin bringing rapid transit to MainSt., where the Flushing line of theI. R. T. now terminates. Born in Lyons, Wayne County,N. Y., he was the son of Williamand Amelia Heermans Clark.
