English: An elevated path The path here runs on a ridge which follows the edge of Martham Broad (at right). A drain runs parallel on its other side.
This public footpath follows the Somerton Boat Dyke > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1107313 veering off in northwesterly direction and leading past Martham Broad Nature Reserve. At the northwestern edge of the broad it follows the course of the River Thurne > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1096272 all the way to Martham Ferry > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/851941 further to the west. A track > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1096292 along the way, however, links with Damgate Lane > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/929498 in the village of Martham, offering a shorter route. |
