OKINAWA, Japan (Aug. 28, 2015) Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) 9, assigned to Naval Beach Unit (NBU) 7 passes the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48). LCAC 9 offloaded the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit's (31st MEU) equipment from the well deck of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20). Green Bay and Ashland are assigned to the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group and are on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
