| Description | When Indian subcontinent broke up with Africa, and settled down next to the Eurasian plate, Andamans were not part of that original land mass. They were, in fact, formed as part of the collision between the plates (the Burmese plate). This could be the reason why the plants and trees look very different from what is seen on the subcontinent. Here is a beach that is not palm fringed, but with tall Sea Mahuas. |
