Description
English: Abdi Pasha, the amir al-hajj (commander) of the Egyptian caravan, on his way from Mecca to Medina, from a copy of Safi ibn Vali's Anis al-Hujjaj (The Pilgrim's Companion). Original: From India, possibly Gujarat, circa 1677–80. Ink, watercolours and gold on paper; 33cm x 32.2cm (page).
