| Description |
English: Amhuinnsuidhe Castle from Seaward Two interesting features -the Seawall in front of the castle is a fine tribute to the stone masons who built it almost 150 years ago. On the skyline is the Mausoleum built in 1938 for the then Scott proprietors. In the seawall there are a number of ornamental and heavy cannons. It is reported that in the great hurricane of 12 January 2005 that one of the cannons was found at the castle door having been blown and swept by the waves over the lawn and roadway. |
