Summary
[edit]DescriptionAmerican bald eagle, moments after its release.jpg |
American Bald Eagle release at Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve, Hillsboro, OR. The bird had been under the care of the Portland Audubon and was brought to Jackson Bottom to be released back into the wild. Jackson Bottom is an ideal habitat for eagles and about 200 other species of birds throughout the year. It flew a couple hundred yards and perched in a tree. Then after a few minutes flew across the wetlands and perched in another tree a few hundred yards away. For a while anyway, the bird will be easy to identify because it has short tail feathers. Many people will be keeping an eye on it and reporting sightings. |
