Deutsch: Im Puppenstadium nimmt die Ameise (Formicidae) keine Nahrung mehr auf und verharrt völlig regungslos. Die Larven der meisten Schuppen- und Urameisen spinnen sich beim Verpuppen mittels eines aus ihrem Labium austretenden Spinndrüsensekretes in eine trockene Hülle ( Kokon ) ein.
