Description

May 25, 2020 Ambassador Miller joined State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, Beximco CEO and Group Director Syed Naved Husain, Beximco Pharma Managing Director Nazmul Hassan MP, and Janata Bank Chairman Dr. Jamaluddin Ahmed on May 25 for the inaugural PPE gown shipment to U.S. company Hanes. Beximco_Group will manufacture & ship 6.5 million PPE gowns in the coming weeks to help the global fight against the COVID19 pandemic.


Ambassador Miller congratulated Bangladesh on joining the club of world-class PPE manufacturing nations, saying, “I welcome this first shipment as a symbol of our two nations working together to fight #COVID19 … We hope to see many more shipments from @Beximco_Group and other Bangladeshi companies going to the U.S. in the near future.” A special thanks to #Janata Bank, @UPS, & @emirates for helping make it happen.
