Description
Deutsch: Friedhofskapelle in Altenburg. Die Hauptinitiative zum Bau der Kapelle ging von Oberbürgermeister Gustav Oßwald aus. Sie wurde nach sechsjähriger Bauzeit am 6. Juli 1897 eingeweiht. Die rechts und links angebauten Leichenhallen mit jeweils acht Kabinen sind nicht mehr in Nutzung. In der Kapelle finden auch heute noch 30 bis 40 Trauerfeiern statt. Zurzeit werden dort sieben Bleiglasfenster restauriert, so dass erst wieder ab April 2021 eine Nutzung möglich sein wird.
