Description
Deutsch: „Weinstockaltar“. Mess- oder Volksaltar von Arnold Morkramer in der Kirche St. Mauritius in Kärlich mit dem Hauptmotiv „Ich bin der wahre Weinstock, …“ nach Joh 15,1 und acht kleinen Bildern aus dem Alten Testament. Er wurde 1976 aus Bronze gegossen und am 24. September 1978 von Weihbischof Karl-Heinz Jacoby geweiht. – Das zweite Bild der oberen Reihe zeigt das Paschamahl (2 Mos 12 ff.), angedeutet der Türrahmen, der mit dem Blut des Opfertiers zu bestreichen war, um das Haus kenntlich zu machen und es vor dem Zorn Gottes zu bewahren.
