Español: Anochecer en la estación de Almazán-Villa, una de las más importantes de la línea ferroviaria Torralba-Soria. Si bien el edificio de viajeros no tiene de por sí valor arquitectónico distintivo, esa misma sencillez unida a otros varios rasgos más hacen que en mi opinión hoy sea una de las estaciones rurales más hermosas que he podido visitar en España.
Situada en el propio casco urbano de la localidad, de forma pintoresca y para más señas junto a la plaza de toros, rezuma vida y pasado ferroviarios, porque hay trenes, hay viajeros que habitualmente suben y bajan de ellos o esperan en bancos de madera, y casi milagrosamente hay personal de ADIF destinado en la estación, que a la vez es respetuosa con su pasado. En el perímetro se conservan cocherón de locomotoras, depósito y aguadas, cantina, muelle-almacén, toperas, silo de cereales con cargadero y sistema de trasvase de tornillo sin fin, báscula en las vías de mercancías... y viviendas ferroviarias, algunas ciertamente ya en ruina. El entorno está limpio y cuidado con esmero. Tiene un pequeño enclavamiento Bouré en servicio y un reloj en hora. Un jardín lateral al edificio de viajeros exhibe, a modo de humilde museo al aire libre, un compresor o caldera montado en un diplory, quizá de la Compañía de Caminos de Hierro del Norte de España a juzgar por el emblema de estrella de cinco puntas. La fachada del edificio de viajeros del lado del andén se adorna con azulejos alusivos a la huella en Soria de la figura de Antonio Machado, y cuando llega el buen tiempo se cuelgan maceteros de geranios en las columnas de la marquesina. Flores de geranios colgantes en una estación en activo que aun no ha sido totalmente invadida de elementos de equipamiento de moderna fealdad con certificación UNE. |
