| Description |
English: Allt na Criche/March Burn. At this time running through the gravels, this burn briefly marks the boundary between Banffshire and Aberdeenshire. It was probably once the Aberdeenshire/Inverness boundary but that had moved north.It is also right on the northern edge of the square, but the slight hollow provided suitable shelter for a lunch stop. Beyond are the grasslands leading up to Cairn Lochan to the north. Once emerged from the gravels, the burn flows through a marshy area and then plunges into the Lairg Ghru. |
