Summary
[edit]DescriptionAll Saints church in Alburgh - view west - geograph.org.uk - 1770521.jpg |
English: All Saints church in Alburgh - view west. The tower of All Saints church > 1770481 is very tall and can be seen for miles. It is believed that the church stands on an older place of worship. The bottom section, built in the 15th century from flints found in the surrounding fields, is contemporary with the rest of the building. The church was extensively restored and partially rebuilt in the 19th century but the C15 rood screen dado > 1770503 has survived. Everything else dates from the Victorian restoration as do the stained glass windows > 1770510. |
