Summary
[edit]DescriptionAll Saints Church, Burnham Market - geograph.org.uk - 1404235.jpg |
English: All Saints Church, Burnham Market A church with an interesting history. It's effectively two combined into one, the result of a decision by the Reverend Edmund Nelson (father of Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson) who was Rector of both Sutton and Ulph churches. He decided that neither was really fit for purpose in the mid 1770s and had Sutton taken down, sold the parts that he could, and used the proceeds to 'do up' the one at Ulph. This is the result. Parts of the building date back to the 11th or 12th century. |
