Summary
[edit]DescriptionAll Saints , Pavement - geograph.org.uk - 667875.jpg |
English: All Saints , Pavement One of the many medieval parish churches still surviving in the centre of York. A church has stood on this site since before the Norman conquest, although most of the present building dates from the late 14th and early 15th centuries. The church is notable for its lantern tower [rebuilt 1837] which at one time provided a light for travellers approaching York from the wild country of Galtres Forest to the north. |
