Description
Español: Retrato imaginario del rey Alfonso XI de Castilla (1311-1350). Fue hijo del rey Fernando IV de Castilla y de la reina Constanza de Portugal. En 1340 derrotó a los musulmanes en la batalla del Salado y en 1341 conquistó Alcalá la Real, Priego de Córdoba, Carcabuey y Rute. En 1344, tras un asedio de dos años, conquistó la ciudad de Algeciras. Alfonso XI falleció en 1350, victima de la Peste negra, mientras asediaba Gibraltar y fue sucedido en el trono por su hijo, Pedro I de Castilla.
