العربية: يستأجر الراكب التاكسي لإيصاله إلى مقصد محدد يختاره الراكب. علي خلاف الحال في وسائل النقل الأخرى -كالحافلات- حيث يلتزم راكب الحافلة بخط سير معين ومنه يترجل الراكب عند أَقرب نقطة إلى مقصده.
