| Description |
English: The street has a covered part, where more smiths were at work. Because it is situated in the ironmongers quarter it is called "Iron Gate". It is a late Mamluk suq to house the heavy industry at the time. The suq is now know as Qubu al-Najjarin or carpenters basement. |
