English: Alaska Army National Guardsmen Sgt. Michelle Brown, 134th Public Affairs Detachment and Spc. AJ Will, 1-297th Reconnaissance and Surveillance Squadron, compete during the tug-o-war event of the 2012 Hero Games, June 23. The Fourth Annual Hero Games’ five overall events included the obstacle course, litter carry/scooter race, water balloon volleyball, bucket brigade/vehicle push, and tug-of-war. Participants included teams represented by Anchorage Police, Anchorage Fire Department, U.S. Air Force, Air Force Reserve, U.S. Army, Alaska Air National Guard and the Alaska Army National Guard. The Hero Games are held each year during the Summer Solstice festival in downtown Anchorage. |
