This file is in the public domain because it comes from the Alaska Traffic Manual, sign number M1-5, which incorporates the federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices and the Alaska Traffic Manual Supplement (ATMS). The ATM states on its page I-1: "Both the ATMS and the MUTCD shall be consulted when researching traffic control device issues." The federal MUTCD states specifically on its page I-1 that:

Uses the Roadgeek 2005 fonts archive copy at the Wayback Machine. (United States law does not permit the copyrighting of typeface designs, and the fonts are meant to be copies of a U.S. Government-produced work anyway.)
Note: the ALASKA might not be perfect, as the specs do not specify the font, so I had to copy it from the PDF.
