In questo luogo, localmente noto come "al crusìn", fino alla fine degli anni '70 sorgeva una croce lignea. Nei tempi antichi il parroco vi si recava il giorno delle rogazioni per impartire la benedizione dei campi (fonte: Emilio Alzati, "Giubileo della Misericordia, la Bassa lascia un segno a futura memoria", Corriere di Novara, 17 dicembre 2015, p. 27).
