Description
Nederlands: Afscheidsdiner in Hotel Derlon in Maastricht ter ere van de Amerikaanse bevrijders van Maastricht. In het midden: burgemeester mr. Willem baron Michiels van Kessenich. Aan zijn rechterzijde: generaal-majoor Leland Stanford Hobbs (1892-1966), commandant van de Old Hickorydivisie van het 1e Amerikaanse Leger, de bevrijders van Maastricht. Aan zijn linkerzijde (rechts voor de kijker): luitenant-generaal William Hood Simpson (1888-1980), bevelhebber van het Amerikaanse 9e Leger, dat van oktober 1944 tot maart 1945 in Maastricht zijn hoofdkwartier had.
