Deutsch: Sarkophag des C. Iunius Euhodus und der Metilia Acte (Inschrift am Deckel: CIL XIV, 00371) aus Ostia. Das Relief der Vorderseite zeigt Szenen aus dem Mythos von Admetos und Alkestis, bekannt vor allem durch die Tragödie Alkestis des Euripides. Carl Robert (ASR 3.1, 1897, Nr. 26) schrieb zur Datierung: „Die Zeit der Verfertigung ist durch das in Inschrift erwähnte XXI Lustrum des Collegiums der fabri tignuarii auf das erste Jahrzehnt der Regierung des M. Aurel 161–170 befristet.“ |
