Summary

[edit]
Description This set of 28 photographs were taken beside the Livingstone airstrip South of Darwin on 1st September 2003. A small crowd of spectators watched with great interest for an hour as the different phases of construction were worked through. An overly zealous railway employee then arrived and ordered everybody away from the area. This was working towards the finish of the new railway line from Alice Springs to Darwin. In a little over four months from this day the first train arrived in Darwin from Adelaide.
