English: Dated to the fourth century AD, the sea mosaic was uncovered in the ancient city of Anavarza within Dilekkaya village of Kozan district of Adana. The panel depicts numerous sea creatures including dolphins, fishes, octopi, squid and calamari. Such panels adorned the feast halls, courtyards and pools of Roman houses. |
