Description

"Above the Beyond"

Vertical pano of big meadow along Big Oak Flat Road in Yosemite National Park. the view looks southwest into the grove of charred pines standing like skeletons in contrast to the dense green vegetation along the foreground. The light source in this scene is both light pollution along the horizon from fresno area and the foreground is lit by the rising moon causing the milky way to fade. Looking into the sky you can see the belt of the milky way connecting horizons(almost) from northeast by southwest. I used artistic license on the star embellishment. I stitched about 6 images in this each shot at 30 seconds shutter speed and F2.8 Aperture using a 14mm lens, sony a390 dslr and fixed tripod. Enjoy!
