English: Abbey Foregate and Shrewsbury Abbey According to the street map Abbey Foregate is the name of the roads on both sides of the Abbey. There has been a church on this site for more than 1,000 years.
The hexagonal pillar box on the right is a Penfold design, cast by Cochrane, Grove and Co, Dudley, and dating from 1866. |
