Summary
[edit]DescriptionA very large spider - detail - geograph.org.uk - 774373.jpg |
English: A very large spider - detail. Wooden sculpture in Alby gardens. Alby gardens are located adjacent to the Alby Craft Centre and encompass four and a half acres of ground, formerly a poplar plantation and livestock pasture. Starting in 1987, after the great storm during which many of the trees were uprooted, the area was redesigned; presently the lawns are interspersed by four ponds (one with an island); by a 'wild' area and a small wood; by flower beds containing a variety of unusual plants and shrubs; by streams and specimen trees, and by a selection of modern sculptures. |
