English: A symbolic stone in Linton Parish Churchyard A beautiful example of an 18th century symbolic gravestone, with an emblem of immortality in the form of a winged soul representing the human spirit arising to wait the Day of Judgement, and emblems of mortality below with the hourglass and skull with crossed bones, all set between Ionic columns and open pediment.
