A niche soon after you enter the Mother Cave in the Gobustan Reserve. This niche appears immediately to the left as you enter the cave. You can see some petroglyphs in the foreground too, but these have faded substantially over the centuries. It could also be the lighting angle, with no shadows making identifying the petroglyphs even more difficult.(Gobustan, Azerbaijan, Sept. 2017) |
