Title
A medieval coin: a cut half penny of Henry III
Description
English: A medieval silver coin: a cut halfpenny of Henry III (1216-72), probably class 5, London mint, moneyer Nicole. The mint and moneyer combination for this coin is uncertain as the coin has been struck with an obverse and a reverse on both sides, obscuring most of the legend. It is 18.3mm long, 9.7mm wide and 1mm thick. It weighs 0.69gm. Reference, North, volume 1, numbers 991-999.
