English: A magyar Anjouk-címere.
Zománczozott ezüst ötvösmű az aacheni székesegyház kincstárában. Balra fordult tárcsa-pajzsot ábrázol jobboldali mezejében a vörös és fehér csíkokkal, a baloldaliban kék alapon arany liliomokkal; a pajzsot zárt csöbör-sisak fedi arany koronával és oromdíszében három strucztoll között aranyos patkót tartó struccfejjel. A királyi koronaból kinövő két strucctollal, hosszú nyakon struccfejszájában patkóval Károly Róbert király személyes sisakdísz ábrázolása volt. A bestiáriumokban a strucc azzal, hogy mindent megeszik, mindent megemészt, még a vasat is, az erőt szimbolizálja; motívuma arra utal, hogy Károly Róbert minden ellenlábasát sorra legyűrte, szinte legyőzhetetlen volt. |
